AI Generate Card Release Notes v1.6.0

These release notes provide information on new features, enhancements, resolved escalations, and bug fixes completed in every major, minor, and patch release of the AI Generate card, which is also an Appspace supported card. ImportantFor each release, the updates are pushed to the card template in the Library. Cards created prior to the latest release will not receive the latest updates. To get the latest feature or bug fix for this card, the card must be recreated with the latest template. 26 February 2026, ThursdayNew Features & Updates  Features Description Unobstructed Resizing and Positioning of Text and Image Elements Users can now resize and reposition text or image elements without the formatting toolbar obstructing the view. The formatting toolbar automatically hides when users interact with resize handles, allowing elements to be moved and resized more easily across the card. Standardized Resize Logic Across Image Sources Users now experience consistent resizing behavior for images regardless of the image source, including images uploaded from a computer, selected from the Appspace Library, or generated using AI. With this improvement, images maintain their original aspect ratio during resizing, preventing unwanted stretching and ensuring a more consistent visual result.  Maintenance Releases CAN-130 - Unable to update list formatting correctly when switching between bullet, numbered, and no-list styles in the Text element, so list formatting now updates consistently as users change list types. CAN-134 - Unable to keep the background color in the Layer panel in sync with the generated card after regenerating, so the card and Layer panel now always display the same background color.

This allows concierge users to complete service checkpoints in pending status on behalf of other users, streamlining workflows and improving operational efficiency.   Methods to Complete Checkpoints Concierge users can now complete service checkpoints using two approaches: Complete all pending checkpoints at once Use the existing “Complete Checkpoint” button within the reservation panel to simultaneously complete all outstanding checkpoints for a single attendee. Complete a single pending checkpoint A “Complete” option has been added to the ellipsis menu for each service checkpoint in pending status on the concierge reservation side panel. Extension of Concierge Checkpoint Permissions The checkpoint permission framework previously implemented for service checkpoints has been extended to support consent, form, and notice checkpoints. Important: This feature will be released as a limited release. It is intended to support customers currently using the Reservation Services 1.0 workflow who are experiencing challenges migrating to Reservation Services 2.0.   With this update, the following permissions are now available for consent, form, and notice checkpoints: View Enabled by default Allows users to view consent, form, and notice checkpoints Complete Allows users to complete consent, form, and notice checkpoints Edit Allows users to edit form checkpoints only  Maintenance Releases  AE-13977 - Duplicate root folders are created per library due to a race condition in UpsertLibraryCommandHandler.UpsertRootFolderAsync (no unique constraint on LibraryId where ParentId == null), corrupting the folder structure and preventing the Library from loading.  Appendix Release Schedule InformationThe following is the release management schedule as per our Release Calendar for Public Cloud: New Appspace functionality and major platform optimizations will now be released under a quarterly release cycle, scheduled at 08:00 pm CST on Friday. These release notes provide information on the new features, newly supported devices, enhancements, resolved escalations, and bug fixes completed in the Appspace App version 2.94 for purpose-built industry-standard devices (such as Appspace for Devices on Android and iOS tablets, and the Appspace app on Chrome OS, Google Meet, BrightSign, Cisco, and Crestron devices), ideal for signage and video walls. ImportantAppspace maintains a rolling 9-month support window. Bug fixes and security updates are applied exclusively to the latest release. Please ensure your devices stay within this window for continued support. Please refer to the Appspace Device App Version Lifecycle Policy to learn more.Prior version release notes for Devices & Built-In Apps:Version 2.93 Version 2.92.1 Version 2.92 Version 2.91 Version 2.90 Versions 2.72-2.80Older versions are unsupported.   NoteIf on an Android or iOS mobile device, refer to Appspace App 8.x Release Notes for Mobile. App for Devices 2.9426 February 2026, ThursdayRelease Platform: All  Features Description BrightSign Custom Plugin Management Device Task Templates Technical Info: BrightSign Custom Plugin Management Administrators can now execute 4 specific device tasks to handle the lifecycle of custom plugins on BrightSign devices. Available Device Tasks: Update plugins List plugins Relink plugins Delete plugins     AMAZONSIGNAGE Package Type Support   Support for the “AMAZONSIGNAGE” package type has been added to enable device app update status to be determined based on Amazon Store deployment. Webex Control Hub Integrated Devices’ Token Claiming Process The token claiming process for Webex Control Hub integrated devices has been updated to support refresh tokens and ensure token restoration after registration. This improvement includes switching to the api/v3/authorization/token API to claim tokens using refresh tokens. Token Refresh Background Support Previously, if a device failed to save the token locally or if a startup URL was accidentally shared across multiple devices, subsequent attempts would return a 403 Forbidden error. A new token refresh background job has been implemented. Token lifecycle: Tokens are now proactively renewed in the background before they expire. Registration: The token renewal starts immediately upon successful registration. Newly registered devices benefit from the background refresh right away, without requiring a manual app restart. Unregistration: The token renewal process is stopped when a device is unregistered, and the scheduled cron job is removed from the device. App Startup: On boot-up, the app automatically initializes the renewal job for any registered device, validating the current session tokens as part of the starup sequence.    Maintenance Releases   APC-8196 - The BrightSign app update replaces the existing plugins.brs file, causing custom plugin scripts to stop running because they are removed during the update process.  APC-8205- The reset or unregister action hangs on Crestron AirMedia 3K devices when content caching is disabled because the content reset flow expects clearAllResources to return a promise, but it returns null when no driver implementation is available.  APC-8214 - The Log View opens as a blank screen on Android, Android TV, and Linux Snap devices because the app loads templates from an incorrect path, preventing the log view templates from loading properly.  APC-8243 - The Microsoft Teams Rooms simulator fails to provision and displays “Failed to provision device” while still appearing in the Devices list without a device type. APC-8219 - Unable to print labels on ChromeOS visitor kiosks with printers other than the Brother QL-720NW, as the app uses a fixed label size instead of matching the printer’s supported media sizes, causing the print request to be rejected.

Author configuration Authors can enable and configure the TOC directly within the page editor for better content structure and readability.  Digital Signage Features Description Global Software Updates Toggle What’s New & Improved: Appspace introduces the Global Software Updates Toggle, granting Account Owners centralized control over software update permissions across all device platforms. Accessed via Devices > Settings > Global > General under the new “Software Updates” section, this account-level configuration overrides any individual location or device settings. Centralized Permissions: Viewing and modifying these settings is restricted exclusively to the Account Owner role. Global Override: Turning a toggle OFF for a specific device type disables the software update capability globally for all devices of that type within the account. Device-Specific Defaults BrightSign: Set to OFF by default. Updates must be manually enabled for the BrightSign fleet to proceed with any software updates. Tizen, MacOS, and Windows: Set to ON by default to maintain existing update workflows.   Hierarchical Restriction For Software Updates What’s New & Improved: Appspace has introduced hierarchical restrictions for software updates to ensure global administrative settings take precedence across the platform.   Global Software Update Hierarchy Appspace ensures that a global OFF switch for a specific device type including BrightSign always overrides local Automatic update settings. While administrators can still configure update schedules at the Location and Device levels, these settings are now subject to the Global Software Update toggle.   UI Settings and Contextual Warnings Appspace provides transparency and manages user expectations by providing contextual warnings when global restrictions are in place. Editable Settings: The UI remains editable at all levels to allow for configuration changes even when global restrictions are active. Hint Text: When a device type is disabled at the global level, hint text appears at both the Location and Device setting screens. Updated Subtext: The Software Updates modal under Devices, Settings, and Locations now explicitly defines how the App Version field behaves. Remove “Microsoft Teams Rooms” From Advanced Registration Configuration   What’s New & Improved Appspace has updated the device registration workflow for improved efficiency. With the implementation of the Microsoft Teams Rooms (MTR) device integration, the manual Advanced Registration option for MTR is redundant. Therefore, MTR has been removed as an option from the Advanced Registration configuration screen to ensure a more direct and efficient registration process. Streamlined Configuration: The removal of the redundant manual option ensures all new MTR setups follow the optimized native integration path. Legacy Support: MTR devices previously registered using the manual method will continue to function without interruption. Improvements To The Device Integration What’s New & Improved Appspace introduced the following refinements to streamline device management and maintain platform consistency: Standardized Naming: Appspace updated Microsoft Teams Room to Microsoft Teams Rooms to align with official industry terminology. Unified Descriptions: Appspace revised the Microsoft Teams Rooms (MTR) integration description to match the format and tone of the Zoom Rooms integration, ensuring a seamless experience across conferencing providers. Device Insights: Revert to Average Data What’s New & Improved Appspace updated the query logic within Device Insights pivot reports to provide a more accurate representation of fleet health and usage trends over time. Updated Calculation Logic: Appspace transitioned the data aggregation from SummarizeFunction.MaxBy back to an Average function across the specified date range. Historical Data Accuracy: Appspace now accounts for fluctuations in device counts throughout the entire selected period. Previously, reports utilized the latest timestamp within a range, which created a "snapshot" that ignored historical changes and potentially skewed performance data.  Platform Features Description Org Chart: Support for Assistants This update allows account owners to assign assistants to users, providing clearer visibility of reporting lines and supporting collaboration across the organization.   What’s New & Improved: Add assistants to users Account owners can now assign one or more assistants to a user, and these relationships are visible in the org chart. Visible across multiple areas Assistants appear in the full org chart, org chart widgets (Home theme, Space/community, People directory), and user profile widgets. Handles multiple relationships Users who are both an assistant and a direct report are displayed in both roles, ensuring full visibility of reporting structures. Improved profile settings A new “Assistant” field in User Profile Settings allows visibility to be managed consistently, making it easy to see who supports each user.   Appendix Release Schedule InformationThe following is the release management schedule as per our Release Calendar for Public Cloud: New Appspace functionality and major platform optimizations will now be released under a quarterly release cycle, scheduled at 08:00 pm CST on Friday. Appspace App 2.93 Release Notes for Devices & Built-In Apps

These release notes provide information on the new features, newly supported devices, enhancements, resolved escalations, and bug fixes completed in the Appspace App version 2.93 for purpose-built industry-standard devices (such as Appspace for Devices on Android and iOS tablets, and the Appspace app on Chrome OS, Google Meet, BrightSign, Cisco, and Crestron devices), ideal for signage and video walls. ImportantBeginning January 1, 2026, Appspace will implement a new Device App Version Lifecycle Policy to ensure optimal performance, security, and feature compatibility. This policy introduces a 9-month rolling support window for Appspace device apps.To learn more about this policy and how to keep your devices updated, please refer to the Appspace Device App Version Lifecycle Policy in the Appspace Knowledge Center.Prior version release notes for Devices & Built-In Apps:Version 2.92.2 Version 2.92.1 Version 2.92 Version 2.91 Version 2.90 Versions 2.72-2.80Older versions are unsupported. NoteIf on an Android or iOS mobile device, refer to Appspace App 8.x Release Notes for Mobile. App for Devices 2.9328 January 2026, WednesdayRelease Platform: All Features Description Emoticon Support in Microsoft Teams Rooms (MTR) Appspace console now provides full support for emoticons in MTR room names. This update ensures that emojis are rendered consistently across the entire platform, including device listing, analytics reports, and device info. Dynamic Low Bandwidth Mode This feature introduces a dynamic threshold for video playback on supported devices to optimize bandwidth without unnecessarily compromising the user experience. On supported devices, enabling Low Bandwidth mode does not automatically block all video playback. Instead, the system monitors the file size: Videos < 300MB: Play normally without interruption. Videos > 300MB: Are automatically restricted to save bandwidth. If restricted, the device displays a blurred thumbnail with the message: “Device is in low bandwidth mode; video playback is disabled for large files.” On devices that do not support local caching, enabling Low Bandwidth Mode acts as a total restriction for video playback: All videos are restricted regardless of file size. The device displays a blurred thumbnail with the message: “Device is in low bandwidth mode; video playback is disabled on this device.” BrightSign SD2 (Internal SD) Storage Path Support This introduces support for SD2 (Internal SD) as a storage option for BrightSign devices. The app now follows a specific priority order when searching for the autorun.zip and selecting an installation destination: Action Priority Order Finding the autorun.zip USB1 FLASH SD SD2 (Internal) SSD Installing the app SSD SD2 (Internal) SD FLASH USB1   When updating to app version 2.93.0, customers using devices with both SD and SD2 mounted should be aware of a change in the installation destination that may affect registration status. The scenario: If a device is registered on app version 2.92.1 or lower, registration info is stored on the SD:/. Upon updating to version 2.93.0, the app will prioritize installation on the SD2:/ (Internal SD). Since registration data does not automatically move from SD to SD2, the device will appear as unregistered after the update. To avoid manual re-registration, administrators should perform one of the following actions: Enable registration persistence (Devices > Settings > Global > General) before updating to 2.93.0. This allows the app to automatically recover its original registration information. Fresh install version 2.93.0 on the device. This ensures all data is stored on the higher-priority SD2:/. BrightSign 9.1.92.1 Firmware Certification Technical Info:Appspace App for Certified Devices v2.93 The Brightsigns 9.1.92.1 firmware has been fully certified to work with the Appspace App on Series 5 and 6 devices. Refined Device Status For Microsoft Teams Rooms (MTR) Device connectivity logic for MTR is updated to provide a more accurate representation of hardware states. These changes ensure that brief periods of inactivity do not trigger premature status alerts.   Key Highlights Lost Communication Threshold: The device status transitions to “Lost Communication” only after the Appspace App has remained inactive for a continuous period exceeding 24 hours. Real-Time Online Status: Devices that have successfully communicated with Appspace within the most recent 24-hour window are displayed as “Online.” Persistent Offline Logic: The established criteria for the “Offline” status, occurring after two weeks of no communication, remains active to identify long-term disconnected hardware. App Initialization Logic  App initialization timeouts will now only be detected if the roHtmlWidget load-finished event is not received within the specific 1-minute window assigned to the system.  Maintenance Releases   APC-8190 - The Brightsigns devices with firmware 9.1.92.1 are unable to play scheduled Channel Broadcasts and instead display a blank screen, due to a console error ($window.BSDeviceInfo is not a constructor) that prevents broadcast playback on affected devices.  APC-8192 - The Brightsigns devices upgraded to BrightSignOS 9.1.92.1 are unable to play Advanced channels in both Single Channel and Channel Browsing playback modes, and instead only display a black screen on affected devices.  APC-8193 - The Brightsigns devices that have been upgraded to firmware 9.1.92.1 are unable to play Multizone channels in Channel Browsing playback mode and instead display a black screen when a Multizone channel is selected.  APC-8197 - The Brightsigns app rollback using the backup fails to restore custom plugin files because the autorun-backup/plugins folder is created without recursively copying the plugins/ subdirectories, leaving the folder empty and causing the rollback to fail due to missing plugin files.  Known Issues Android and Android TV devices fail to display log data when accessing the Log View from the Device Menu.
