Prerequisites
You must have one of these roles:
-
Account Owner
-
Location Publisher
-
Space Publisher
Community and Topic owners can manage templates for their own spaces.
Create and Publish a Template
Create templates from Posts > Templates. Use Search and Filter to locate a template in the library. A newly published template is inactive until you enable it.
-
Go to Posts > Templates.
-
Click Create.
-
Select New Template.
-
Select Page Template or Story Template in the Select Template Type dialog.
-
Click Next.
-
Add the template title, layout, media, and reusable content in the template editor.
-
Click Preview to review the template.
-
Click Publish template.
-
Return to the Templates library.
-
Locate the newly published inactive template.
-
Open the template's More menu.
-
Select Enable when the template is ready for use.
Important: Appspace allows you to publish a blank template, but a blank template does not provide creators with a reusable starting structure.
Note: Publishing a template does not enable it. A newly published template remains inactive until you select Enable.
Enable or Disable a Template
Enable a template to make it available on the Select a template screen during Page or Story creation. Disable it to hide it from the selector without deleting it from the library.

Locate the inactive template.
-
Open the template's More menu.
-
Select Enable.
The status changes to Active, and the Template enabled successfully notification appears.

-
Go to Posts > Templates.
-
Locate the active template.
