Don't know where to access Device Tasks?

Hi, just was wondering how to access Device Tasks?

As far as I know, I should just be able to access it by clicking on the hamburger menu, then go to Devices>Device Tasks. But all I see is Device Licensing. I am an Account Owner and Location Admin and have access to everything, even Global settings. I’m just trying to push some updates for Appspace app to several BrightSign devices. I have both Platform and Premium License.

I’ve looked at several topics but none have really helped in resolving this for me. Browse and Navigate Devices on Appspace | CommunityConfiguring and Managing Device Settings in the Appspace Console | CommunityFirst time user overview | Community

Just closing the loop on this one -

  • To access Device Tasks in our console, go to Devices → Tasks.
  • From there you can either click + Create Task (or pick an existing template) and then choose a task type, target devices or groups, set parameters, and schedule it (Run Now, Scheduled, or Recurring).
  • If you’re looking for the Advanced Tasks area, open the menu, hover Devices, select Device Tasks, then switch to the Advanced Tasks tab.

If you are not able to access the above, you may need to review your subscription level, as device tasks require an Enterprise level subscription.

@GruntledEmployee hi there!  I hear your frustration—it's tough when a necessary feature is missing, even with full admin access! Based on what you've described, where you only see Device Licensing but not Device Tasks under the Devices menu, it's highly likely the Device Tasks feature isn't enabled on the backend of the account. The Appspace Customer Care Team can quickly enable this feature for your team if you submit a support ticket.  You can find the link to submit a ticket at the bottom of our Support Page.

Update:  The Appspace Customer Care Team can quickly enable this feature for your team, provided it is available to you,  if you submit a support ticket.

You wouldn’t happen to know what to do when I get the following message when trying to submit a ticket would you? I apparently do not have access and require additional authorization.

@GruntledEmployee I can definitely help you with that! Since this will likely involve checking private account details or specific authorization info, I'll reach out to you in a private message right now to keep your information secure.
