Running the BrightSign App Updater Task

Summary

You can update your BrightSign devices via the Appspace Device Tasks module.

Prerequisites

• You must have Device Tasks enabled in your Admin Console
• You must have an administrator role

Steps

1. On the Appspace console, click the three-line menu in the upper-left corner.
2. Hover over Devices and select Device Tasks.
3. From there, select the Advanced Tasks tab at the top.
4. Click the blue ADD button, then choose BrightSign App Updater from the list.
5. In the task editor, paste the download URL: https://downloads.appspace.com/devices/brightsign/packages/bsn/latest/autorun.zip in the Common Parameters section.
   • The latest BrightSign autorun.zip is always hosted at this URL.
6. Select the + icon, and check the boxes next to the devices you wish to deploy the update to.
7. Click the Select button.
8. Select Save.
