Standard Widgets
Widgets add dynamic data and live data sources to a zone in a Multizone Signage Channel. You can add one or more widgets to each zone in a layout. Eleven widgets are available.
| Widget | What It Does |
|---|---|
| Clock | Displays single or multiple clocks with the current date and time, with formatting options for different time zones. |
| Event Calendar | Displays scheduled information by hour, day, week, or month, with recurrence options. Supports information imported from Microsoft Exchange and Google Calendar. |
| Media Container | Creates and manages multi-level menus that contain media content and data for interactive channels. Link menu items to custom layouts and functions, or sync with external data sources. |
| Media Zone | Builds the visual foundation of a layout with media content, from backgrounds and interface elements to video playlists. Can be layered to form rich media interfaces. |
| Plain Text | Displays static or dynamic text with formatting options for font style, color, position, and rotation. Also supports scrolling text tickers. |
| Remote Control | Maps remote control key presses to channel actions so you can build an interactive experience controlled by a physical remote. |
| RSS Ticker | Creates scrolling or fading tickers for RSS feeds, with customizable ticker direction and spacing. |
| RSS Viewer | Displays live information from public or custom RSS feeds. Headlines, media, and body content can be displayed in various layouts. |
| Table Listing | Creates table listings for tabular information such as event timetables, currency exchange rates, or stock indices. Supports binding to external data sources. |
| Text Ticker | Creates scrolling or fading plain text tickers, with customizable direction and spacing. |
| Weather | Displays single or multiple day weather forecasts. Locations can be found by city, state, country, or ZIP code. |
Note: Widgets that connect to an external data source through an API update only after a device is registered and assigned to the Signage Channel that the widget belongs to.
