I am trying to publish a channel with a quadrant template to a Cisco Navigator and an iPad running Appspace App for Devices. Both devices are not showing the quadrant template but instead just show the content from the upper left quadrant. Are channel templates not supported on these devices or is there a setting I am missing? The quadrant layout does not show up on the physical device or on the device preview in the console. The channel preview shows correctly.

Hello @LEvans!  My first thought is to ensure that the devices (both Navigator and iPad) are in “Admin assigns a single channel” mode. Multizone channels only work in this mode, not in Autoplay mode.

That was it! Thank you @Will White
Leads to a follow up question though. Any plans to change that? I am trying to have a device show a channel that is multi-zone (weather and clock side by side) and then go to a web view card of a shared outlook calendar. Seems like the only current way to do that would maybe be with the older advanced channels.

Hey @LEvans - Glad that was a quick fix!

You’re correct that, today, the only way to switch between a multizone layout and a fullscreen layout on device is with an Advanced Channel. The imminent release of our new updated and consolidated Signage Channel will change this as it has all the same functionality that Advanced Channels do but with a much faster and enhanced interface. You’d still need to create at least two layouts and use the “single channel” mode with those new Signage Channels.

Appspace’s Product Team have discussed adding autoplay functionality to those new multizone Signage Channels, but unfortunately that feature didn’t make the cut for the initial release. It’s still on our radar though, so I’ll advocate for it internally.

Got it, thanks @Will White!
Getting away from the initial question now, but something I noticed during this same project but might not warrant a whole new topic.
Making use of content and device tags to control content appearing or not. Noticed that tags on devices automatically remove punctuation, while tags on content allow punctuation (e.g. - and _ ). Just something that took a little bit of experimentation to figure out. Spaces do maintain in both places. Not sure if that is an intended feature or a bug :)
