Weather Widget - Not Functioning

​@JamesTa.Softcat thanks for flagging this. I know it can be frustrating when a weather card appears stuck or isn’t showing the latest information.

Weather cards rely on external services to retrieve current data, so if the device is unable to reach those services, the card may stop updating or display older information.

A few things worth checking:

• Network access: Please make sure your firewall or proxy allows access to *.services.cloud.appspace.com. If those services are blocked, the weather card won’t be able to retrieve live data.
• Device sync: Confirm that the device is showing as In Sync and has an active network connection. If the device is having trouble syncing, content updates may not be reaching the player as expected.
• App and firmware versions: It’s also a good idea to confirm that the device is running the latest supported Appspace app and firmware, as older versions can sometimes contribute to syncing or data-fetching issues.

If everything above looks good, could you share a few additional details with us?

• The device platform you’re using (for example, BrightSign or ChromeOS)
• The Appspace app version currently installed
• Whether the issue is affecting all locations or only one

With those details, we can help narrow down whether this is related to the network, device sync, or the device itself.

​@JamesTa.Softcat after some additional research I have been advised to have you raise a case.  If you do not have access to raise a case, please reach out to your admins and ask them to raise this case.  

Hi.

We get also funny weather data. London -2°C, Berlin -1°C, Beijing 10°C … in August!
Only New York with 22°C and L.A with 18°C are somehow correct. 

Maybe it’s worth to check this also?

​@Superdiesel yes, please log a case, we have had a few reports of this acting funny and are currently investigating.  We have reached out to World Weather Online and are waiting a response.  

​@JamesTa.Softcat ​@Superdiesel it is my understanding that the weather provider has fixed their API issue and the weather should be updating properly now.
