Creating Content in Channel

Whenever I try to create content in a channel it shows in the preview section that the particular content is being displayed but the content does not actually show on the display. I have to go to devices and change the channel in order to get the content to display. I do not like doing it this way reason being, whenever the content expires it causes the TV screens to go blank when I need them to be displaying something at all times. Can anyone help with this?

Hello Meshell,

We’re happy to provide a few solid, preliminary troubleshooting steps for your screens not appropriately displaying channels. First, check your device's channel selection mode:

  • Go to Dashboard > Devices
  • Select your device and go to Settings > Configuration
  • Look at the Channel Selection Mode setting

If it's set to "Admin Assigns Single Channel," basic playlist channels might not appear due to compatibility restrictions. Try changing it to "Autoplay Published Channels" instead.
Next, verify your network/location settings:
The channels you see depend on which Network ID or Location ID is selected in your Admin Console (usually shown in the top right corner). Make sure the channel you want to display is assigned to the same network/location that's currently active.

Also check if channels are published:
Even with the right settings, channels won't show until they're properly published to your devices. There are no current incidents affecting device displays, so this could be a configuration issue.

Additionally, here are a couple of helpful articles on this issue:

If the issue persists after these adjustments, please submit a support ticket through your Account Management Portal. Please be sure to include the specific device and channel information. Our Customer Care Team can provide a deeper technical review of your specific device environment and application setup to get you back up and running.
