Learn how to install the Appspace App for Windows (MSI) in Appspace. Download the MSI from Devices and deploy it through Microsoft Intune or SCCM for a silent, device-wide installation. After installation, the app displays a registration code so you can register the device before you assign content.

You are an Account Owner or a Location Admin.

You have administrator or system-level permission on that device.
Download the MSI

Sign in to the Appspace console.

Select Devices.
-
Select Settings.
-
Select Downloads.
The Downloads list shows the installers for your account.

Find Appspace App for Windows (MSI).
The row description reads: Register and configure your Windows-based devices with Appspace using an MSI package for enterprise deployment through Microsoft Intune or SCCM. The installer file name appears under the description.

Select Download.
The Download Confirmation window opens and shows File Name and Size.

Select Download.
Your browser downloads that MSI installer.
Note: Appspace App for Windows is the .exe installer. Use Appspace App for Windows (MSI) when you deploy through Microsoft Intune or SCCM. Each Download button downloads only that installer.
Install the App
Deploy the downloaded MSI through an enterprise deployment tool such as Microsoft Intune or Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM). Run the deployment with administrator or system-level permissions so the install completes with no user interaction. The app is installed for the Windows device, not for one user profile.
After installation:

The Appspace App is available on the Windows device.

The app launches and displays a registration code.

Complete registration before you manage the device or assign content.
Important: Installation does not register the device. An administrator still completes registration before the device can be managed or assigned content.
Uninstall the App
Uninstall the MSI through the same enterprise deployment tool, with administrator or system-level permissions. Uninstallation deletes the local Appspace configuration, registration information, logs, and cached content on the device.
Move from the .exe Installer
When you deploy the MSI to a device that already uses the Appspace App for Windows .exe installer:

A deployment that keeps the same Windows user and application data can keep the device registration.

When application data is removed, a device with a previously published hardware identity can use registration recovery. Register any other device again.
Software Updates
Windows devices installed with the MSI package stay on the version you deploy. Appspace console and GCS self-update do not update those devices. Devices installed with the .exe package continue to use their existing self-update behavior.
