Features Description
AI Image Generation Users can now leverage AI for image generation directly within the Sharebox interface.
Contextual Search Enhancements This enhancement leverages advanced vector-based search capabilities to deliver highly relevant results by accurately interpreting the context and semantic meaning of user queries.
Enhanced Tablet Layout for Appspace App The Appspace app on tablets will now utilize a dedicated tablet layout for display, replacing the previous mobile layout.

FIXED BUGS

  • AP-52605 – Misalignment of the star button in the App Links widget.
  • AP-53176 – The Copy to Clipboard function copies all logs from the beginning, even after the logs have been cleared.
  • AP-53228 – The “My Delegations” tab is missing from the Reservations page.
  • AP-53303 – The Create button is slightly cropped at the bottom, affecting its full visibility.
  • AP-53462 – On the Android app, the ‘Add to calendar’ link in Event Posts is not functioning.

Features Description
Microsoft SharePoint Federated Search

Federated Search is now available, enabling users to search for content across both Appspace and Microsoft SharePoint from a single interface. For example, a search query such as “Workplace Trends” will yield results from content accessible within Appspace as well as from configured SharePoint environments.

Here are the key features:

  • Unified Search Experience: Provides a cohesive search capability across Appspace and Microsoft SharePoint.
  • Direct Access: Enables users to open SharePoint documents directly from search results.
  • Permission-Based Results: Ensures search results are aligned with individual access permissions on both platforms.
Conversational AI for Employee Communications This new feature significantly streamlines information discovery. It enables natural language queries to retrieve information from across all company resources. Whether seeking details on company policies or other specific information, inquiries can be directed to the AI. Leveraging its advanced search engine, the AI delivers the most relevant answers, accompanied by direct links for efficient access.

This is an Appspace Limited Release feature. Contact your Appspace Customer Success Manager to be a part of this Limited Release program and enable this feature.

Topic Sitemap A tree-structured sitemap has been implemented for topic pages, significantly enhancing user experience and navigation efficiency. This improvement allows administrators to configure the sitemap within the Topic’s settings, facilitating better organization and accessibility of content.
Document Library The introduction of Document Libraries now enables administrators to organize and share files efficiently within communities. Similar to how the Media Library centralizes media assets, Document Libraries offer a dedicated repository for managing essential documents. This functionality supports the creation of folders, the upload of files in various formats, and the maintenance of a structured system for streamlined access within communities.
Mega Menu Functionality

The Mega Menu is an expanded dropdown navigation element that becomes accessible upon selecting a main navigation item within Appspace. Account owners possess the capability to configure this Mega Menu directly from the Admin View, by navigating to Settings > Configuration > Navigation.

 

Enhanced User Profile Interface

The user profile interface has undergone a comprehensive refresh, resulting in a more intuitive and organized design and layout.

 

FIXED BUGS

  • AP-51177 – Multiple UI issues in the Admin page prevent users from effectively managing Connections.
  • AP-51179 – When accessing User Configuration > Connection Settings, users are unable to view long names properly, see more than 20 connectors, load the latest first, match the “SharePoint” label from Figma, or scroll to the last item on mobile.
  • AP-51199 – Unable to interact with the Spotlight action in SharePoint integration due to UI issues.
  • AP-51356 – The hero banner fails to appear on the Employee App if only media or web frame blocks are used, and it needs at least one “feeds” or “featured post” block to display.
  • AP-51648 – Unable to scroll and view the contents of Columns 1 and 2 when the mega menu has 4 columns on Android and iOS.

  • AP-47849 – Switching locations in Places on the Employee App does not filter the resources of its selected location.
  • AP-50695 – Feed notification level reverts to Highlight after a day.
  • AP-50729 – In-app notifications disappear once the page is refreshed, or after logging in or out of the Employee App.

Features Description
Remove Hero Banner Feature Flag Account owners and location publishers can add and customize hero banners by configuring the theme in the admin view.
Enhanced User Settings The design of the user settings page has been updated for a better experience.
Content Expiry Enhancement Authors and co-authors will now receive an in-app notification seven days before a post is set to expire. In addition, an “Expiring Soon” indicator will appear on the article in both view and edit modes, visible to authors, co-authors, and administrators.

FIXED BUGS

Features Description
Enhanced Post Visibility and Engagement Metrics

This release introduces two enhancements to improve post visibility and engagement tracking:

  • Expanded View Counting: A post view is now counted when a user views the social card for 3 seconds, providing a more accurate measure of content reach and engagement. Previously, only views within the modal view were counted.
  • Insight Widget Visibility: The Insight widget, previously visible only to admins, is now accessible to all users in a feed. This empowers everyone to gain insights into post-performance and engagement metrics.
Enhanced Polls Polls now display the total number of votes cast, even before you participate!

This enhancement promotes transparency and encourages participation by providing immediate insight into the poll’s current standing.

Employee App Sharebox Improvements Event organizers can now enrich their event announcements and updates by attaching media directly to the Sharebox.

This enhancement allows for greater flexibility and visual appeal when communicating event details, schedules, and other relevant information.

FIXED BUGS

  • AP-47853 – Incorrect display of expand and hide arrow direction within the Visitors UI.
  • AP-49552 – Pressing the Back button does not prompt the “Unsaved changes” message in Reservations and Visitors.

  • AP-48563 – Channel UI issues, where the More dropdown list is hidden behind the sharebox.
  • AP-48901 – Link Tiles fails to launch URLs in the external browser when “Open in new tab” is configured.
  • AP-48953 – User is redirected back to the Sign In with Custom Domain screen, after logging in via custom domain.
  • AP-48977 – Analytic charts and graphs do not follow the theme colors on the mobile app.
  • AP–48985 – Incorrect Community action buttons displayed on the mobile app.

Quick Posts – Mentions

The Global Mentions feature in the Employee App, is designed to revolutionize interconnectivity and reference capabilities. This enhancement allows employees to seamlessly mention colleagues not only in comments but also within posts, pages, stories, and resources, significantly improving collaboration and communication across the platform.

The Global Mentions feature ensures a unified user experience, making it easier for users to connect and engage with colleagues across various contexts and content types.

The Global Mentions feature has been extended to enable users to tag the following in the Comments, Sharebox, Page, and Stories within the Employee App:
