We’ve spent the last three weeks sharing hacks, solving mysteries, and exploring new ideas together. For our final mission of May Mission: Boost, we’re looking at the "why."

The Context

At the end of the day, we use Appspace to make our workplaces better, our teams more informed, and our offices easier to navigate. We want to hear about a time when your Appspace setup made a real difference for an employee.

Praise-a-thon: 500+ Posts of Recognition in a Single Day

For Team Member Appreciation Day, we ran our fourth annual Praise-a-thon — a one-day push inviting employees to shout out the colleagues who make their work better.

The format was simple: use the Praise feature in our Appspace Global community, be specific about what made someone stand out, and earn raffle entries for posts you made and posts you were mentioned in. Two winners walked away with dinner on Appspace.

The result: over 500 Praise posts in a single day.

Why This Is a Win for Employee Experience 🙌

• Recognition is the #1 driver of engagement, and it scales. A Praise-a-thon turns appreciation into a shared, visible event instead of a quiet 1:1 moment.
• The whole company feels the culture. When 500+ shoutouts land in one place on one day, employees experience the culture rather than just reading about it in a survey.
• The Praise feature did the heavy lifting. Team members across every location celebrated each other in one space, and every Praise leaves a permanent badge on the recipient’s profile.
• A small incentive unlocked huge participation. Capped raffle entries, with a maximum of five per category, kept things fair while still rewarding genuine, specific praise over spam.
