If you're using the new PowerPoint Card with Broadcasts, there is an important configuration best practice to keep in mind.

Do not add the PowerPoint Card directly to a Broadcast.

Instead, add the PowerPoint Card to a Channel, and then add that Channel to the Broadcast.

Why Does This Matter?

When a PowerPoint Card is added directly to a Broadcast, the card refreshes approximately every 8 seconds. Each refresh can reset the presentation back to the first slide.

This may prevent viewers from progressing through the full PowerPoint presentation as intended.

Recommended Setup

PowerPoint Card → Channel → Broadcast

Placing the PowerPoint Card within a Channel allows the presentation to advance through its slides as expected when that Channel is used in a Broadcast.

Quick takeaway: If a PowerPoint presentation needs to play as part of a Broadcast, place it in a Channel first rather than adding the card directly to the Broadcast.
