The Appspace app is available from the Microsoft Teams app store in the Teams admin center. A customer’s Microsoft 365 or Teams administrator controls whether the app is available, who can install it, and whether it is deployed or pinned for users.
If a user sees a Something went wrong message when selecting Appspace, ask the customer’s Microsoft 365 administrator to review the app in the Teams admin center and confirm its availability and assignment settings.
Who manages the Appspace app in Teams
The customer’s Microsoft 365 or Teams administrators manage apps and add-ins for their organization. Administrators can:
- Allow or block the Appspace app.
- Choose which users or groups can access it.
- Deploy and pin the app for users.
- Customize the app name, logo, and description shown in Teams.
Microsoft provides the Teams admin center and app store, but each customer’s administrators control the app policies and deployment settings for their tenant.
Review and deploy Appspace
- Sign in to the Microsoft 365 admin center using an administrator account.
- Scroll to the admin centers and select Teams to open the Microsoft Teams admin center.
- In the left navigation, select Teams apps.
- Select Manage apps.
- Search for Appspace and open the app record.
- Confirm that the app is allowed and available to the intended users or groups.
- Review the applicable app permission and setup policies to confirm that users can install the app and that it is deployed or pinned as required.
- If desired, customize the app name, logo, and description for the organization.

Troubleshoot the Something went wrong message
Ask the customer’s Microsoft 365 administrator to check the following:
- App status — Confirm that Appspace is allowed and has not been blocked at the organization level.
- User and group assignment — Confirm that the affected user is included in the assigned users or groups.
- Permission policies — Confirm that the user’s Teams app permission policy allows the Appspace app.
- Setup policies — Confirm that the app is installed or pinned for the intended users, if required.
- App details — Review the Appspace listing in Teams apps > Manage apps for any notices or restrictions.
- Teams client — After an administrator changes a policy, allow time for the change to apply, then restart Teams and try again.
About the displayed app version
The version and certification label displayed in the Teams portal come from the app listing currently available to the customer’s tenant. A change from version 1.3 to version 1.2 certified does not, by itself, identify the cause of the installation error.
Because no confirmed Appspace version history or certification record is available in the referenced documentation, do not describe the version change as an upgrade, downgrade, or rollback without further investigation. The customer’s administrator should capture the displayed version, certification label, error message, affected user, and time of the issue.
When to contact Appspace Support
If the administrator confirms that Appspace is allowed and correctly assigned but the error continues, submit a ticket to Appspace Support. Include:
- A screenshot of the Something went wrong message.
- The Appspace version and certification label shown in the Teams admin center.
- The affected user or group and the relevant Teams app policies.
- The date and time of the most recent failed attempt.
- Whether the issue affects one user or multiple users.
For additional setup information, review Install Appspace on Microsoft Teams.
